What we collect

Newsletter: if you subscribe, we store the email address you provide and, optionally, your name and role.

Tool submissions: if you submit a tool, we store your name, email address, role, and the details of the tool you submitted.

Reviews: if you leave a review, we store the name you give, your email address, and optionally your job title, company and company size, alongside the review itself.

Accounts: if you create an account, authentication is handled by Supabase. We store your email address, a display name and a role.

Uploads: logos uploaded with a listing are stored in our hosting provider’s object storage and served publicly as part of that listing.

Analytics: we use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, which set cookies and record standard usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, referrer and device type.

Why we collect it

To operate the directory: publishing listings and reviews, letting owners claim and edit their listings, and sending the newsletter you asked for.

To understand how the site is used in aggregate so we can improve it.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your email address for anything other than the purpose you gave it for.

What is shown publicly

Reviews are public. The reviewer name, job title, company and company size you supply are displayed alongside the review. Your email address is not displayed.

Tool listings, including any logo you upload, are public.

Cookies

Signing in sets cookies required to keep you authenticated. Analytics cookies are set by Google Tag Manager. You can block cookies in your browser; the directory remains readable without them, but you will not be able to sign in.

Retention and removal

We keep the data above for as long as the related content is published. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email.

To have a review, an account, or a submission removed, contact us through the submission form with enough detail to identify the record.

Third parties

Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), our hosting provider, and Google (Tag Manager and Analytics) process data on our behalf. Each has its own privacy policy.
